Friends & Brands| Photowall Review
Photowall is a Swedish company that produces wall murals and canvas prints. The company strives to be environmentally friendly made to order. Each ink used in production contains no harmful chemicals. Whatever waste made during the creation process gets recycled.
Photowall has a huge selection of options to choose from. And this was the only problem that I had with the website. We currently live in an apartment, so wall murals aren’t an option for me. Management won’t allow me to wallpaper the walls, sad to say. After many days of deliberation, I decided to get a print for my desk area. You can find a canvas print by category, designer, room or color.
My Desk Area
In our apartment, my desk area is currently in the hallway. Above my desk was a huge blank wall. With my personal taste, I knew I wanted something colorful without it being too distracting. One day I was on the Photowall website and I found the print of the orange rose. Instantly, I realized that I found what I was looking for. It’s the very extension of the colors and feel of my room.
What Did I Do?
First of all, I will start off by saying that sometimes I have really good ideas but the follow-through gets kind of fuzzy. I thought, “Why not get a big enough print to cover up the wall above my desk?” So I got it 43.31 x 43.31, not cm but in. In theory, I didn’t understand how big the print was until it was delivered. For a couple days, I walked by the box it was in before I got up enough nerve to open it.
Putting It Together
- canvas cloth
- frame sections, 4
- corner plates, 4
- screws, 16
- hanging solution with screws
Once I got over its sheer size, I realized it wasn’t going to be that hard to put together. I cleared everything from our living room floor and got down to business.
The directions were very easy to follow. And I’m very proud that I was able to put this together by myself. As a side note, I really liked the screws they included. I had carpal tunnel surgery last year on my dominant hand. There are still a few things that are hard for me to grip. But I found it very easy to put the screws in myself.
I have a print that I love very much. It adds the subtle bit of color that I was looking for in my workspace.
I would love to know what you think about Photowall and the print I got. Let me know in the comments below.
