#SPOTLIGHT| Emily’s Ardor Product Review

Despite still being sick and feeling like a hot mess, I am so thankful and happy today. This will be my first review on this site, I’ll discuss more on tomorrow’s blog. Today, not only will you be getting my thoughts on the products but you’ll be getting my mom’s thoughts as well. For a few days, she had been joking with me that if I didn’t hurry up and do this review she would do it instead. We kept joking about it, but the more I thought about it, it seemed like a great idea.  She’s been a great sport about being my nurse these last couple weeks so this was a nice bit of pampering for her.

I was sent three products from Emily’s Ardor. I received the Orange Dreams Hand and Body Butter, Lemon and Honey Face Wash, and the Jasmine and Honey Lip Balm.  I’ll be going through and breaking down the ingredients for each product in the review. As always, let me know what you think and if you plan on purchasing anything from Emily in the future.

Lemon and Honey Face Wash

Ingredients: apple cider vinegar, raw honey, white sugar, grapeseed oil

MamaReviews: I really like this scrub, it reminds me of something that I would have made when I was younger. You can tell it’s natural and it doesn’t have any chemicals in it. It smells refreshing, although I do smell more lemon than honey. My skin feels baby smooth. I totally recommend this.

PAE: This scrub pleasantly surprised me, and with all of the ingredients, I do see it as a scrub more than a face wash. My mom and I use St. Ives facial scrub in an abundance, I even wrote a review on it. But I am here to tell you today that I think I have a new favorite, and I’m not just saying that for review purposes. Although I recommend wetting your face a bit before applying the scrub, the results speak for themselves.

Since I’ve been sick my skin has been really dry. And I think that’s partly due to the medication and the dry air. Exfoliating today helped a lot. My mom used this scrub yesterday and I used it today. We’ve barely made a dent in it so I can definitely tell you that the product lasts and a little goes a long way.

Orange Dreams Hand and Body Butter

Ingredients: orange zest, oranges, coconut oil, essential oil, shea butter

MamaReviews: You don’t need much of it. The first time I used it I actually got too much. This would be good to put on dry feet and ashy elbows. Even after washing my hands and cleaning the house, my hands still felt moisturized.

PAE: I suffer from eczema and it gets especially worse around this time of year.  My eczema hits my legs the worst and I usually have to apply multiple times to fight against the dryness. This morning, I used the body butter after I took my shower and my skin doesn’t feel dry at all.

Jasmine and Honey Lip Balm

Ingredients: jasmine flower, jasmine, shea butter, beeswax, raw honey, essential oil, coconut oil

PAE: I’ve been suffering from dry lips lately so I was really interested to see what this could do.  I think it works well, but I find myself reapplying often. And it could be because I’m always in need of more hydration. It applies nice and like the other products, it smells really good too.
